RipCord by iFLY on Anthem of the Seas Out of Service: Planned Maintenance, Not a Defect
The simulator is one of the ship's most thrilling attractions, allowing passengers to experience the sensation of skydiving in a safe and controlled environment. For adrenaline junkies, the attraction is a real highlight. The decision to perform the maintenance is a prime example of Royal Caribbean's proactive asset management. The timing is strategically chosen: the work is being carried out at the end of the summer season in Alaska, just before the ship repositions to Australia. This ensures the attraction is in top condition before it enters a new, competitive market.
Port or Starboard? Where is the Attraction?
The wind tunnel is located at the stern of the ship, which is the very back. Directly next to the RipCord by iFLY® attraction, there are other great offerings, like a surf simulator and a rock-climbing wall.
What Passengers Need to Know
Affected guests who had a reservation for the skydiving simulator have been informed. Their bookings have been automatically canceled, and a full refund will be provided. Royal Caribbean emphasized that plenty of other exciting activities and entertainment options are available on board to make up for the downtime.
