This initial building phase is designed to create a conducive learning environment for the village's children and will feature three classrooms, a teachers' room, a storage area, and restroom facilities.
The AIDA Cruise & Help initiative aims to enhance educational opportunities for young people in developing countries, with a special focus on the home countries of many crew members. In collaboration with the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP, the Rostock-based cruise line implements various school projects. AIDA Cruises states that, in addition to building schools, it is also involved in numerous other social, cultural, and ecological projects both internationally and regionally.
The commitment to education continues this year. Various events are being held across the fleet of eleven ships to raise donations for school projects worldwide. Felix Eichhorn, President of AIDA Cruises, emphasizes the mission of AIDA Cruise & Help: “Our specific goal is to enable as many children and young people as possible in developing and emerging countries to receive a school education and thus have good future prospects.”
