AIDAprima Diverts to Eidfjord
The AIDAprima, currently on the 10-day "Norway's Fjords with Geiranger & Trondheim" voyage, had to cancel its scheduled stop in Kristiansand for today, August 5, 2025. As an alternative, the ship docked in the picturesque Eidfjord this morning instead. According to the current plan, the remainder of the voyage is expected to proceed as scheduled, with AIDAprima set to call on Bergen tomorrow, Wednesday, before continuing towards Geiranger.
Other Ships Affected
The AIDAprima is not the only ship in the fleet affected by the turbulent weather:
- The AIDAnova also had to alter its course and is now docked in Ålesund instead of the planned port of Nordfjordeid.
- On the AIDAsol, strong winds led to the cancellation of calls in Aberdeen and Lerwick on the Shetland Islands.
- Meanwhile, the AIDAbella is unable to call on the port of Ijmuiden today, Tuesday, and is spending an unscheduled day at sea.
