Jana Lüth, Head of Communication at AIDA Cruises, emphasizes the significance of this partnership: "Our bond with Rostock has grown over decades. The Hanse Sail is a matter truly close to our hearts. It provides the ideal platform to share the excitement for cruising across all generations, strengthen the regional economy, and promote cultural exchange."
Onshore Cruise Experience and an Attractive Contest
In the city harbor, specifically on the Haedgehalbinsel near the Sunshine Stage, the company is creating its own AIDA Holiday World. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in the cruise atmosphere. Attractions include an authentic show cabin, a beach club complete with palm trees and deck chairs, and a large LED screen. The popular AIDA "Kissing Stop" will also be part of the experience. For those dreaming of their own voyage, AIDA is hosting a major competition with a travel voucher valued at €2,500 up for grabs.
Further attractions await guests on the Silo Terraces at the AIDA Cruises headquarters. A wheel of fortune, comfortable deck chairs with a direct view of the harbor, and a children's drawing corner invite guests to relax. The company's travel experts will also be on hand for consultations.
Two AIDA Ships to Visit Warnemünde
In addition to the onshore program, two ships from the AIDA fleet are expected in Warnemünde. The AIDAmar will kick things off on Thursday, August 7th, 2025. It will dock at 8:00 AM, arriving from Gdynia, Poland, and will depart around 5:00 PM for a four-day Baltic Sea cruise to Gothenburg and Copenhagen. Another call by AIDAmar is scheduled for Sunday, August 10th, 2025.
On Saturday, August 9th, 2025, the AIDAdiva will be in Warnemünde between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The ship will arrive from Stockholm before setting sail on a seven-day journey along the Norwegian coast.
A Strong Partner for the Region
AIDA Cruises' commitment is deeply rooted in the region. As one of the most important tourism operators in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the company employs over 1,200 people at its Rostock location and more than 18,000 crew members worldwide. Beyond its support for the Hanse Sail, the cruise line regularly promotes cultural highlights such as the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival and various charitable initiatives.
