Today, Monday, August 4, 2025, the Star of the Seas made its first-ever port of call in the Caribbean by arriving in Ponce, Puerto Rico. This milestone marks the beginning of the final phase before the highly anticipated premiere. The time until the maiden voyage on August 16 is limited. By then, the ship must be fully operational to welcome up to 7,600 passengers on board in Port Canaveral, Florida.
The inaugural journey will take the ship on a short route to Coco Cay in the Bahamas, the cruise line's private island. Subsequently, starting from the end of August, the Star of the Seas will commence its regular schedule, offering weekly cruises to the Western and Eastern Caribbean.
On board, guests can look forward to an innovative layout featuring eight themed areas, known as "neighborhoods." These include Chill Island, Thrill Island, Surfside, the AquaDome, The Hideaway, Central Park, the Royal Promenade, and the exclusive Suite Neighborhood, all promising a diverse travel experience.
