The Rostock-based cruise line AIDA Cruises has announced a comprehensive restructuring of its fare models. The changes will take effect for all new bookings made from July 15, 2025. Existing bookings made before this date will fully retain their original conditions and are not affected by the transition.

Previously, the company's pricing system was based on two main fares, Premium and Vario, each bookable with or without an all-inclusive package, resulting in four different options. In the future, the offering will be expanded to six distinct choices to better meet the individual needs of guests.

According to Alexander Ewig, Senior Vice President at AIDA Cruises, this adjustment is a direct response to traveler feedback. The analysis of guest surveys repeatedly indicated a desire for modernization and greater flexibility. The company has already addressed this with its "AIDA Evolution" fleet modernization program. The past introduction of an all-inclusive fare was also based on passenger suggestions. The expansion of the fare structure is therefore another step towards a more personalized cruise experience.

The New Fare Options in Detail

A key innovation is the Comfort All In fare. This is available exclusively as an all-inclusive package and enhances the well-known benefits of the Premium fare with exclusive additional services. These include two hours of daily access to the wellness oasis, an included internet flat rate, and a first-class Rail&Fly ticket for travel to and from the port.

Also new is the Light promotional fare, aimed at spontaneous and price-conscious travelers. However, this option will only be available selectively and for chosen voyages. Guests on this fare must also accept limitations in their choice of restaurants, as meals are only included in specific specialty restaurants.

The established Premium fare, valued for its planning security and extensive benefits, will remain in its current form and can still be booked with or without the all-inclusive option.

The previous Vario fare will be replaced by the new Classic fare. Its structure is very similar to the Vario model, also offering the choice between booking with or without all-inclusive services at the current daily price on selected cruises.

The New Fare Structure from July 15, 2025, at a Glance:

  • Comfort All In: The most comprehensive fare for an all-inclusive, worry-free experience with the most benefits.
  • Premium All In / Premium: The proven fares for maximum planning security and numerous advantages.
  • Classic All In / Classic: The successor to the Vario fare, bookable for selected voyages at the current daily price, subject to availability.
  • Light: A limited promotional fare for last-minute travelers on specific routes.

All "All In" fares are bookable for voyages of five days or longer and include the most comprehensive beverage package in the fleet.
