The 29th anniversary on June 7, 2025, marks the beginning of the preparatory phase for the extensive celebrations of its 30th year of existence in 2026. On June 7, 1996, the fleet's first ship was christened in Rostock, laying the foundation for a revolutionary concept: an informal cruise experience that broke with traditional industry conventions. Over the following three decades, the company established itself as a pioneer and grew to become the market leader for cruises in Germany.

For the anniversary year 2026, the cruise line has announced a series of special events set to take place both on board the ships and on land. Plans include an exclusive event cruise themed "Best of AIDA" and an impressive ship gathering in the Port of Hamburg.

Exclusive Event Cruise with a High-Caliber Guest Star Lineup

Kicking off the festivities is the special "Best of AIDA" cruise from April 18 to 25, 2026, aboard the modernized AIDAdiva. The itinerary leads from Warnemünde through the Baltic Sea to the destinations of Stockholm, Gotland, Gdynia/Danzig, and Copenhagen. A particular highlight of this journey is the lineup of prominent artists who have been part of AIDA's history.

The entertainment program features performances by comedian Otto Waalkes and his band "Die Friesenjungs," pop-schlager singer Beatrice Egli, and pop artist Stefanie Heinzmann. DJ and music producer ALLE FARBEN will create a festival atmosphere, while party star Mickie Krause is set to energize the crowd. The musical lineup is rounded out by rock musician Wayne Morris and the band LIVE BEATS. Providing comedic highlights are comedian Benni Stark, cabaret artist Wolfgang Trepper, and the versatile performer Ingo Oschmann. The art of drag will be represented by Sarah Barelly. This cruise promises to combine the best of 30 years of AIDA, creating an unforgettable experience for all fans of the brand.

Grand Fleet Meeting in Hamburg on the Anniversary Day

A central event of the celebrations will be the gathering of three ships from the fleet in Hamburg on June 7, 2026. AIDAperla will arrive in the Hanseatic city the day before, on June 6, and will remain in port overnight. On the actual anniversary day, AIDAsol, docking at the Altona Cruise Terminal, and AIDAprima, arriving in the evening, will complete the trio. The three ships will assemble for a joint parade on the Elbe River, providing a stunning backdrop for the anniversary festivities.

FESTIVAL Cruise for Music Lovers

Immediately following the anniversary celebration in Hamburg, the focus will shift to music fans. From June 8 to 12, 2026, AIDAprima will set sail for the "FESTIVAL Cruise." This four-day journey to the Belgian North Sea coast is dedicated to music genres such as hip-hop, EDM, pop, and schlager. Although the detailed lineup for 2026 has not yet been announced, the company ensures that renowned live acts will create a continuous festival atmosphere in the Theatrium, the Beach Club, on the Plaza, and in the onboard disco.
