AIDA Cruises Shapes Hamburg Port Anniversary 2025: Nina Chuba Concert and Strong Ship Presence

Rostock-based cruise company AIDA Cruises reaffirmed its role as a significant partner of the major maritime event at this year's Hamburg Port Anniversary. The company set a musical highlight last Friday evening by presenting a concert by the well-known singer Nina Chuba, who hails from the Hamburg region. The performance took place on a specially constructed floating stage against the backdrop of the Landungsbrücken (St. Pauli Piers). Access to this program point, part of "Elbe in Concert," was traditionally free for visitors.

In the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, AIDA Cruises is the cruise line with the strongest presence. The company's commitment is demonstrated through its support of various events and the year-round stationing of at least one cruise ship in the Elbe metropolis. During the Port Anniversary weekend, four ships from the fleet used the terminals for passenger changeovers: AIDAsol on Friday, AIDAperla on Saturday, and AIDAprima and AIDAluna on Sunday. This brought numerous passengers and ships from the shipping company to Germany's second-largest city. However, in the overall context of this year's Port Anniversary, cruise ships played a somewhat more subdued role, as, unlike in previous years, an elaborate light and fireworks display involving a cruise ship was omitted.

According to reports, the 836th Hamburg Port Anniversary, which took place from May 9 to 11, 2025, attracted over one million visitors.

For the upcoming year, the Hamburg Port Anniversary is scheduled for the period from May 8 to 10.
