MSC Cruises: Successful Hamburg Port Anniversary Debut Strengthens German Commitment
The MSC Cruises information stand at the Hafentor proved to be a crowd-puller throughout the festival weekend. Alongside attractions such as a wheel of fortune, a virtual reality journey through the world of MSC cruises, and a children's play area, a five-meter-high lighthouse, inspired by MSC's private island Ocean Cay, garnered particular attention. On the upper floor of the stand, an exclusively furnished lounge in the style of the "MSC Yacht Club" offered invited guests an excellent view of the port activities and the evening music and show event "Elbe in Concert."
Around 60 invited personalities from politics, the port industry, tourism, the cruise industry, and the media attended the now fifth edition of the "Hamburg Cruise Schnack." In optimal weather conditions, guests exchanged ideas over food and drinks on the terrace of the Blockbräu, located at the Landungsbrücken (landing stages). From there, they also enjoyed an impressive view of the "Elbe in Concert" program, which captivated with live music, choreographies, and musical performances on a floating stage.
Jörg Eichler, Managing Director DACH for MSC Cruises & Explora Journeys, commented positively: "The start at the Hamburg Port Anniversary was outstanding for us, accompanied by high-ranking guests from the city, the port industry, and the cruise sector. The positive feedback confirms the growing interest in MSC Cruises in Germany and the significant potential we see here. We are thrilled with this successful premiere and look forward to future engagements in this fascinating maritime metropolis."
By deepening existing and building new partnerships, MSC Cruises aims to further expand its activities in Hamburg. The goal is to offer passengers unforgettable travel experiences through first-class hospitality, attractive destinations, and outstanding service, leading to lasting memories at sea. During the current summer season, the MSC Preziosa departs from Steinwerder for cruises in Northern Europe. From October, the MSC Poesia will be deployed from the new cruise terminal in HafenCity for winter routes to European metropolises.
