Mein Schiff 7: Canary Islands Season Concludes in Hamburg, Summer Voyages to Depart from Kiel

Hamburg, May 7, 2025 – The Hanseatic city of Hamburg served as the destination port for Mein Schiff 7 this Wednesday. The arrival of the TUI Cruises vessel marked the official end of this year's Canary Islands season. The final voyage of this winter season commenced in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, and took passengers via other Canary ports such as Santa Cruz de Tenerife, onwards to Funchal in Madeira, Lisbon and Leixões in Portugal, and La Coruña in Spain. Two full sea days were subsequently required to cover the distance to Northern Germany before the ship docked in Hamburg in the morning hours.

For Mein Schiff 7, the arrival in Hamburg signifies the end of a productive 2024/2025 winter season in the Canary Islands cruising region. However, the actual start of the 2025 summer season is imminent and will utilize a new homeport: instead of departing from Hamburg, the ship will commence its voyages from Kiel. A short transfer cruise from the Elbe metropolis to the Kiel Fjord is therefore next on the agenda before the main season for the vessel can begin.

Once Mein Schiff 7 reaches the port of Kiel on May 11, 2025, it will embark on a diverse summer program for the year 2025. This includes numerous destinations in the Baltic Sea region as well as along the Norwegian coast. Highlights include cruises through the impressive Norwegian fjords and journeys as far as Spitsbergen, where passengers can experience the natural spectacle of the midnight sun in June.
