Vasco da Gama Concludes Spectacular 148-Day World Cruise 2024/25 in Tenerife
The itinerary of the world cruise was diverse and offered passengers unforgettable experiences. After departing from Crete, the Vasco da Gama passed through the Suez Canal and the Red Sea. Due to security concerns in the region, an overland program was organized, transporting travelers from Egypt to Oman. The journey then continued to captivating destinations in the Persian Gulf, India, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia.
A particular highlight of the voyage was the 34-day Pacific crossing, which began in Cairns, Australia. During this segment, the ship visited numerous idyllic South Sea islands before continuing its journey. The final 56 days of the world cruise took passengers from Valparaíso, Chile, through the breathtaking Chilean fjords and further south around the legendary Cape Horn. Before crossing the Atlantic toward Tenerife, the Vasco da Gama made several stops along the Brazilian coast.
After arriving in Tenerife, guests began their journey home, while the Vasco da Gama remained at sea. Until early June, the ship will cruise in Southern Europe before embarking on summer voyages in Northern Europe.
Another exciting chapter in the Vasco da Gama's history will begin in the 2025/26 winter season: for the first time, the ship will depart from and return to Hamburg for a 175-day world cruise. This dream voyage, running from November 7, 2025, to May 1, 2026, will take travelers to destinations such as the Caribbean, the South Seas, New Zealand and Australia, Southeast Asia, the Persian Gulf, and the Mediterranean.
The Vasco da Gama continues to stand as a symbol of luxurious and adventurous cruises, taking travelers to some of the most remote and fascinating corners of the world.
