AIDAnova ends Christmas voyage 2024 and starts her New Year's Eve cruise

This morning, the AIDAnova successfully completed its 2024 Christmas voyage. That same evening, the cruise ship left the Hanseatic city of Hamburg to embark on a New Year's Eve cruise. This voyage is a special highlight for the guests on board, as the turn of the year is celebrated in the Norwegian capital Oslo. Around 800 of the passengers who took part in the Christmas cruise will remain on board for this next voyage.

The Christmas voyage was not without its challenges. At the beginning of the tour, changes had to be made to the itinerary due to unfavorable weather conditions. Later on, however, the original plan was largely adhered to. However, there was a wave of illness on board the ship, as occasionally happens on cruises in the winter months. In order to contain the spread of the disease through intensive cleaning and disinfection measures, the ship tours originally planned for today were canceled.

The 2024 New Year's Eve cruise combines destinations in Norway and Denmark. The AIDAnova will leave Hamburg this evening and set course for Copenhagen, where the ship is expected to arrive on Monday. After a stopover in the Danish capital, the route continues to Oslo. The ship will remain there overnight so that guests can spend the New Year in the impressive atmosphere of the Norwegian capital. After Oslo, the AIDAnova heads for the city of Kristiansand before making its way back to Hamburg. The voyage ends there in one week, on January 04, 2025.
