On November 9, 2024, the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP held a special fundraising gala at which Felix Eichhorn, President of AIDA Cruises, provided an emotional highlight. During the event, Eichhorn presented the founder of the foundation, Reiner Meutsch, with a symbolic cheque on stage. This donation will enable the construction of the next six AIDA Cruise & Help schools, so that the construction of schools number 70 to 75 can begin as early as next year.

In his speech during the handover, Felix Eichhorn emphasized that AIDA Cruises has already been able to secure funding for 15 additional schools since June 2024. Since the start of the commitment in 2019, an impressive donation sum of almost three million euros has been collected. “Supporting children's education is a matter close to AIDA's heart,” explained Eichhorn at the event.

The AIDA Cruise & Help aid program focuses on improving educational opportunities in developing countries. The initiative works closely with the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP. The focus is on educational projects in the crew members' home countries and in regions visited by the ships of the Kussmund fleet.

AIDA Cruises also provided a travel voucher for the raffle at the event. The company emphasized that its goal for 2025 remains to give as many children as possible access to education.
