There are also new bistro concepts: a tapas bar is opening around the Theatrium on deck 9, complemented by the French Kiss Bar & Bistro and an ice cream bar. The Panorama Bar & Lounge with a captain's view on deck 10 and the Tokyo Bar, which is part of the Sphinx class, will provide exclusive drinks experiences in future.
More space for teens and nightlife
On deck 12, the area that previously housed the Teens Club, the Anytime Disco and the Ocean Bar will be transformed into the flexible Ocean Club. During the day, it will serve as a retreat for teenagers, while at night it will be transformed into a club where you can dance until the early hours of the morning.
AIDA Evolution: major modernization programme from 2025
As part of the AIDA Evolution initiative, the AIDAdiva will undergo the most extensive modernization programme in the history of AIDA Cruises from February 2025. To this end, the ship will go to the Chantier Naval shipyard in Marseille. From 3 February to 22 March 2025, the ship will not only undergo technical improvements, but will also be modernized for more service, comfort and a greater variety of experiences on board.
After the shipyard period, guests can expect an even wider selection of restaurants and bars. A total of eight restaurants and 15 bars are available, offering specialties from all over the world. In addition to the popular existing venues, several new highlights have been added to the culinary offering.
New gastronomic concepts on the AIDAdiva
One of the most exciting new features is the maritime-inspired Yacht Club Restaurant, which delights with seasonal cuisine and international specialties. Outside, guests can relax at the Lanai Bar with AIDA Spritz and sundowners.
The French Kiss Restaurant on deck 11 transports gourmets to France. From the finest tartare dishes to exclusive cheese selections and French pastry masterpieces - nothing is left to be desired here. There is also an Asian restaurant on deck 11, where sushi and dim sum are served under cherry trees. In addition to lunch and dinner menus, a small Asian breakfast with Japanese specialties is also offered. The Tokyo Bar serves matching Asian signature drinks.
Expanded bar and bistro concepts
On deck 10 around the Theatrium, the French Kiss Bar & Bistro expands the range to include French snacks and drinks. A new ice bar on deck 11 provides sweet refreshments, and the convivial tapas bar on deck 9 invites guests to linger with hot and cold tapas, Spanish wines, sherry and beer. In the Panorama Lounge on deck 10, guests can enjoy the exclusive captain's view and special drinks.
World cruise and further routes in 2025
After the shipyard stay, the AIDAdiva will set off on three voyages from Rome to Italy and Malta from March 23, 2025, with destinations such as Valletta, Syracuse, Palermo and Naples. She will then move to Warnemünde, from where she will sail to the most beautiful places in the Baltic Sea and Norway.
An absolute highlight of the year will be the 2025/2026 world cruise. For the first time, the AIDAdiva will embark on a 133-day round-the-world voyage. This XXL world cruise begins on November 10, 2025 in Hamburg and will take in five continents and 27 countries. The east and west coasts of the USA and Japan will also be visited for the first time. A special highlight will be New Year's Eve in Hawaii. A total of 55 ports will be visited during this voyage.
Future of the Sphinx series
The AIDAdiva is part of the Sphinx series, which entered service between 2007 and 2013. These ships have shaped the typical AIDA experience with their innovative space concept and modern design. Following the modernization of the AIDAdiva, the sister ships AIDAluna and AIDAbella will follow in autumn 2025 and spring 2026.
