Due to severe weather conditions and a strong storm depression off the Norwegian coast, there will be changes to the itinerary of the AIDAprima's current voyage to Norway. A stopover in Stavanger was originally planned for today, Thursday, 10.10.2024, when the ship should have been in port from 10 am to 8 pm. However, this stop has to be canceled without a replacement. The reason for this is an approaching storm front, which makes it impossible to dock safely in the port of Stavanger.

Passengers on board the AIDAprima were informed of the cancellation of the Stavanger stop by the captain via an announcement. The cruise ship is currently sailing through the fjords around Stavanger. In the late afternoon, around 5 p.m., the AIDAprima will continue its journey towards Hamburg, the destination port of the voyage. Arrival there was originally planned for early Saturday morning. However, a low-pressure system with wind speeds of around 6 to 7 Beaufort is also expected in Hamburg tomorrow. It is still unclear whether this will lead to a temporary closure of the Elbe to shipping traffic.
