Itinerary Change at TUI Cruises: Mein Schiff Flow Relocates to Kiel for Winter

The cruise world is facing a major itinerary change: TUI Cruises is unexpectedly relocating its new fleet addition, the Mein Schiff Flow, to Kiel for the 2026/2027 winter season. Originally, the ship was supposed to cruise the Persian Gulf from Dubai and Doha on the "Magic of the Orient" route. However, the ongoing volatile security situation in the Middle East has thwarted these plans. Following the recent evacuations of other ships from the region, the cruise line is now taking decisive action and prioritizing absolute safety for passengers and crew.

That this change is no longer just a rumor is proven by official port data. The Mein Schiff Flow is already firmly registered in Tallinn for November 2026—arriving from the port of Kiel. Norwegian ports like Flåm also have the mega-liner on their schedules. This makes it clear: Instead of desert sun, passengers can expect cool but fascinating journeys through the wintery Baltic Sea and along snow-covered Norwegian fjords.

Deploying a ship for nearly 4,000 passengers in the Northern European winter sounds bold, but the new InTUItion class is perfectly equipped for it. When it gets too cold outside, onboard life simply shifts to the spacious indoor areas, featuring 14 restaurants and 17 bars. The new SPA balcony cabins and suites, some of which even feature their own small private infrared sauna, are particularly attractive for the cold season. This turns the ship itself into a cozy wellness oasis, entirely independent of the weather.

For guests from the DACH region, the departure port of Kiel offers an unbeatable advantage: The stressful and often unreliable flight journey is completely eliminated. Instead, passengers can travel comfortably straight to the ship by train or car. The Mein Schiff Flow also scores highly in terms of environmental protection. Thanks to its modern LNG propulsion and the ability to use clean shore power at the Ostseekai in Kiel, it easily meets the extremely strict environmental regulations of the Baltic Sea.
