Mein Schiff 3 in Dry Dock: A Fresh Look in Rotterdam

But there are also visible changes for the guests. The twelve-year-old ship is getting an extensive makeover in its interior spaces. Numerous cabins and luxury suites are receiving new furniture, carpets, and fresh paint. Whether you are standing on your private balcony on the starboard or port side, everything will shine like new. A real highlight: the ship is being fully equipped with fast Starlink internet from SpaceX, ensuring perfect Wi-Fi on the high seas.

Behind this multi-million dollar project lies a clear strategy from TUI Cruises. With the brand-new ships of the InTUItion class, such as Mein Schiff Relax, the in-house competition is strong. To ensure Mein Schiff 3 maintains its premium standard and continues to offer guests the familiar feel-good experience, massive investments are being made in its maintenance. This keeps it an absolutely comparable option within the growing fleet.

However, the dry dock won't be occupied for long. As early as April 26, 2026, Mein Schiff 3 will set sail again. With a five-day short cruise from Bremerhaven—including a stop at the stylish passenger terminal in Rotterdam—the crew will test all the new systems under real conditions. After that, it’s straight on to the spectacular Norwegian fjords. Thanks to the newly updated environmental technology, the ship will be allowed to continue cruising into these strictly protected natural areas.
