The biggest new feature is the integration of the luxurious MSC Yacht Club. This exclusive concept, already known from other ships in the fleet, makes the MSC Magnifica the first ship of the Musica class with its own area exclusively for Yacht Club guests. Across five decks, 63 new suites will be built, along with a private sundeck, pool, restaurant, and the Top Sail Lounge.
Other guests can also look forward to new amenities: the MSC Aurea Spa wellness area will be expanded and will feature a sauna with a sea view. Right next to it, a new, modern fitness center will be installed. The culinary offerings will be enhanced with two new specialty restaurants: the steakhouse Butcher's Cut and the Kaito Sushi Bar.
This extensive refit, described by the cruise line as the "most comprehensive remodeling in the last ten years," serves a clear purpose: to make the ship, built in 2009, ready for the next decade. The additional luxury suites are particularly important for the lucrative World Cruises.
The modernization is planned to be on schedule, and the ship is expected to set sail again for a test cruise in December 2025. The official season will start in the summer of 2026 from Warnemünde, where the MSC Magnifica will be the first ship with a Yacht Club to sail the Baltic Sea. Demand is high, and the 2027 World Cruise is already sold out.
