The cruise ship is docked today from 8 AM until 4 PM at a centrally located berth in Copenhagen. The Danish capital thus marks the first port of call on a one-week Northern Europe cruise that began yesterday, Saturday, in Warnemünde. In the late Sunday afternoon, the ship is scheduled to continue its journey towards Norway as planned.
Adjustments for Passengers
After a day of relaxation at sea, the AIDAdiva will call at the Norwegian destinations of Vik, Skjolden, and Bergen. A second sea day will then lead the journey back from Norway to its starting point in Warnemünde.
Passengers aboard the AIDAdiva were informed of the necessary route change on the day of embarkation. The ship's captain personally explained the reasons behind the decision in the Theatrium. AIDAdiva's shore excursion team, in cooperation with local partners, was able to arrange an alternative excursion program for the stay in Copenhagen. All shore excursions originally booked for Skagen were canceled by AIDA Cruises due to the adjustment, and guests were fully refunded.
AIDAdiva: A Regular at Warnemünde
During the current summer season, the AIDAdiva is permanently based in the port of Warnemünde. From there, it undertakes various cruises in the Baltic Sea region as well as voyages to Norway. The last visit to the so-called "AIDA homeport" this year is scheduled for November 5.
