Consequently, AIDAblu has already set a course for its destination port, Corfu, where most passengers are scheduled to disembark tomorrow, Saturday, May 17, 2025. The cancellation of the Kotor visit means that travelers will miss the opportunity to explore the UNESCO World Heritage city with its historic old town, distinctive city gate, narrow alleys, and the well-known Gradska Kula clock tower. AIDA Cruises has assured that all costs for pre-booked and now cancelled shore excursions will be automatically refunded.
Despite the cancellation of the port stop, passengers were able to experience the picturesque entry into the Bay of Kotor, flanked by steep mountain slopes, on Friday morning, as the decision to turn back was made only just before reaching the port. Guests aboard AIDAblu will now spend the last day of their journey unexpectedly at sea, where they can enjoy the diverse amenities on board. The ship is expected to arrive at the port of Kerkyra on the Greek island of Corfu next night. Corfu serves as AIDAblu's homeport for passenger exchange every Saturday this summer season.
Since late April 2025, AIDAblu has been operating in the Adriatic and Eastern Mediterranean, offering four different one-week cruises: "Adriatic from Corfu 1," "Adriatic from Corfu 2," "Greece from Corfu," and "Mediterranean Islands from Corfu." These voyages can also be combined into two-week tours, starting alternatively from Corfu or Trieste, Italy.
Original Itinerary of AIDAblu (May 10 – 17, 2025): Kerkyra (Corfu) – Sea Day – Trieste – Koper – Rijeka – Korčula – Kotor – Kerkyra (Corfu)
Adjusted Itinerary of AIDAblu (May 10 – 17, 2025): Kerkyra (Corfu) – Sea Day – Trieste – Koper – Rijeka – Korčula – Sea Day – Kerkyra (Corfu)
